Zilliqa began its journey in 2016 to create a scalable and secure blockchain platform that would host decentralised applications. On 19 June 2018, Zilliqa initiated a grant programme with the objective of supporting and encouraging projects, teams and individuals to develop tools, libraries and dApps within the Zilliqa ecosystem and Scilla. The total grant pool was equivalent to $5 M with 30% of the grant being distributed via the ZIL token and the remainder in USD/ETH.
Zilliqa CEO, Xinshu Dong, announced the first batch of grant awardees in a Medium post today, that would be contributing to their scalable, secure and truly decentralised blockchain application ecosystem. The CEO emphasised how the decision behind who was to be awarded the Zilliqa ecosystem grant required, “weeks of rigorous selection and active conversations”.
Out of the many entries they received, the Zilliqa team has selected 12 teams/developers that would also work side by side the Zilliqa team. Below mentioned are the grant awardees based on different projects they will be working.
