The third and final day of the International Blockchain Conference took place at INOX, Goa on 5th August. The event was organized by the department of information technology in union with NITI Aayog and Nucleus Vision for the benefit of innovators, businesses, technologists, regulators, startups and IT industry stakeholders.

Mr. Rohan Khaunte, IT Minister, Goa, Mr. Henry Lee, Global Business Lead of ICON Foundation, Mr. Ian Balina, Global Community Influencer and DGP Muktesh Chander led the day with a fireside chat delving into blockchain being used as a tool for good governance.

After the fireside chat, various topics such as the implementation and adoption of blockchain in the Indian scenario, the state of blockchain globally, blockchain and healthcare, blockchain and gaming, and disruption in the retail industry via blockchain were discussed.IBM also hosted specially curated content for the International Blockchain Congress, catering to both developers and startups with a special focus on how to build blockchain networks to transfer assets.

The IBC was conducted with the prime goal of elucidating how blockchain technology could be leveraged in order to improve the efficiency of services, providing better management of contracts to enable smoother financial transactions and improving transparency in the process.
